Welcome. I love to make stuff: Papercraft, crochet, plushies, cooking and baking.

I'll be posting my own stuff where I can and promoting other fabulous artisan crafts by fantastically talented craftspeople in between :)

FYeahCrochetGoat is a meme-based craft blog and brain child of Shellygurumi & CraftYallo. Crochet Goat vents, rages, facepalms and obsesses over yarn, crochet projects and the like. The admins of this blog admit they enjoy coming up with witty phrases for Crochet Goat :)

Admin Shellygurumi’s personal blog is mostly comprised of images, blogs and anecdotes belonging to her favourite films, TV shows, books, comics & other stuff she likes. These include: Supernatural, Avengers, Doctor Who, The Blues Brothers and even nifty space stuff. (Professor Brian Cox fan, by any chance?) Blog posts related to personal craft projects do appear from time to time, when there’s time to crochet. I certainly understand that life can get in the way of life.

So, followers – you’re lucky this week. Double feature in one, really. Check these blogs out and follow :)

I think it’s fair to describe Feeling Creative’s blog as a stream of consciousness for crafting, and creative, inspiration.

In a message, she told me: “Someday, when my life is not so busy and complicated, I can’t wait to actually make all the things I have posted! Happy crafting!” Many thanks, and I’m sure my followers will join me in wishing her all the best in finding free time and immersing herself into creative ventures :)

The lovely lady behind Food Escapades, Rianne, admits she’s always been fond of eating. Upon discovering Tumblr and started a personal/Harry Potter blog, though she couldn’t resist searching food blogs and reblogging the tasty delights she stumbled upon.  Some followers complained about the concentration of food-related posts on their dashboards from Rianne, so she decided to create a new blog, entirely devoted to food, Food Escapades. She claims she is a frustrated chef with a sweet tooth and unable to resist endlessly searching for beautiful photos of food, both familiar and unfamilar. Though this blog is primarily a photo blog, she occasionaly likes to post about international cuisines and how they have developed throughout history.

Rianne also decided to start a related recipe blog, at the request of some followers, named Food Escapades: The Recipes.

So do have a look and let your mouth water. Or perhaps even saunter along to her recipes blog and feel inspired to try them out :)

MaeWolf’s blog is both a personal and craft blog inspired by what she likes and has found some of these quite easy to recreate with her hands. She began crafting items relating to the Fallout video games and made props and replicas of cardboard. Now she’s knitting, making Jayne Cobb (from Firefly/Serenity) “cunning” hats on looms and selling them at her Etsy shop for very reasonable prices as well as knitting handbags and making hand carved buttons from locally sourced wood. Who couldn’t love MaeWolf’s film/TV/game-inspired crafts?

As she currently finds herself with quite of lot of free time, she’d like to venture into the world of leather work sometime in the foreseeable future.

Check out her page, you know you want to!

The lovely lady behind PetiteSweetsLife is a baker from Syracuse, New York. She earned her baking degree from Alfred State College and while at school, discovered her passion for cake decorating. She worked as a cake decorator at a little Italian bakery for 2 and a half years and now works at Turning Stone Casino and Resort as a baker. She is working towards owning her own bakery which would specialise in cupcakes, petit fours, and wedding cakes. Her blog is a collection of her work from past to present (mostly cupcakes) and home to her video blogs on “how-to” baking. She’s always open to suggestions and loves answering questions her followers have about baking and decorating.

Her motto is: “Making the world sweeter, one cupcake at a time”

Follow & obviously go taste her baked goodies if you’re ever in the area of Verona, New York (state not city)!

The lady behind Cake Apothecary describes herself as a “twenty-something in love with cake. Well, all sweet things, really. But cake and I are going steady!”

As an aspiring culinary art student, she has dreams of opening a wicked cool 50’s themed cake shop one day. Though, she’d happily settle for working as a pastry chef at Disney World. Until then, she keeps a fabulous cake/baked-things blog. Follow her!

Crafty-licious is a beautiful little blog and brainchild of Christina Terry-Keightley, a long time creative. Tina is happily married and mother to four young children, who in her desperation to keep her brain active while staying at home, has embraced her creative hobbies. She finds joy in being creative, and wants to help you find it too! She mostly blogs and reblogs all things needlecraft, crochet and knitting and the occasional papercraft items.

Christina launched her original Crafty-licious blog on Tumblr in August 2010 and in gaining popularity, she launched Crafty-licious.com in March 2011.

Whilst the website is still in its infancy, Christina is working hard to make it grow. She has plans in the works to launch a Crafty-licious shop offering artwork, handmade goods, supplies, and patterns, so watch for announcements on her main site or Tumblr to find out more!
