Crafts I Heart is a craft blog run by Becky. This blog features all sorts of artistic endeavors including quilting, paper crafts, jewelry, DIY, sewing and amigurumi - to name a few.

On the sidebar of the blog, there are links to detailed Tags which categorises posts by color, season (Autumn/Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), public holidays such as Christmas and Easter, and the ever-popular Valentine’s day in February.
Becky has told me that one of her favourite elements in the blog is the Craft Room series. “I highlighted studios and craft rooms alike. Beads and Knots is a little handmade jewellery business run by husband and wife team, Duncan and Daphne. In this partnership, Duncan is actually the crafter and Daphne helps out. She claims her dainty little hands are rather sensitive to all the tight knotting.

Beads and Knots was born of Duncan’s combined love for nautical knotting and gemstones, so jewellery-making seemed like quite a natural progression. After being spotted making himself a Jasper rosary bracelet, by one of his daughter’s friends, requests for bracelets started to come in from friends and work colleagues and then their wider Facebook fanbase and clientele, of which half are men.

Although Beads and Knots’ most popular items are bracelets, Duncan does make earrings, necklaces, watches and matching jewellery sets too. Their Crystal Pave bracelets seem to very popular along with Shamballa and Tibetan style bracelets. Other collections include Swarovski Austrian Crystal bracelets, Gemstone Chip bracelets and the bold Maori collection. Duncan crafts with a variety of gemstone and metal beads including snowflake obsidian, tiger eyes, agate and rose quartz, to name a few.

Beads and Knots are only on Facebook and are based in Gibraltar. At this time they don’t have an online shop, but that’s no reason not to “Like” them on Facebook. So head on over :D

The reason I began following PicaCraft is because I came across her awesome hand-stitched “mobs” from the video game Minecraft (pictured below). I’ve done my fair share of time in Minecraft (definitely a game worth checking out if you’ve never played it). It’s a bit like virtual Lego. Anyway…

FYeahCrochetGoat is a meme-based craft blog and brain child of Shellygurumi & CraftYallo. Crochet Goat vents, rages, facepalms and obsesses over yarn, crochet projects and the like. The admins of this blog admit they enjoy coming up with witty phrases for Crochet Goat :)

Admin Shellygurumi’s personal blog is mostly comprised of images, blogs and anecdotes belonging to her favourite films, TV shows, books, comics & other stuff she likes. These include: Supernatural, Avengers, Doctor Who, The Blues Brothers and even nifty space stuff. (Professor Brian Cox fan, by any chance?) Blog posts related to personal craft projects do appear from time to time, when there’s time to crochet. I certainly understand that life can get in the way of life.

You know what I’d really like to do now? I’d like to feature a fellow tumblogger who has a pretty cool blog Littletuthfairy runs an awesome blog thats all about crafts and featuring cool crafters. 

Now, I’m gonna say something I think is important. Featuring bloggers and having passion for making and sharing crafts is what really makes this community as cool as it is. It’s really important for us to feature each other because without that  no one would know about “that really cool craft I found” or have those moments where we say “This Crafter is a genius”. The ladies behind Go-Crochet are friends Inas and Tantri. These ladies are from Indonesia and admit to having been obsessed with crochet since junior high school.

Through this blog, they aim to share their own works, as well as that of others, including guides and tutorials, patterns and so on. They do not have an online Etsy shop, but do hold another affiliated blog over at Blogspot.

Imagi-knit is a little knitting business established by Stephanie a former student of drama and performing arts at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), founded my Paul McCartney of The Beatles. Imagi-knit’s main focus is on creating custom-made baby hats, clothes and blankets but makes the occasional adult sized hats and scarves too.

Steph also hosts the occasional knitting party with which she aims to teach people to knit and encourages them to share their ideas too. Imagi-knit is based in Liverpool, United Kingdom - so if you’re in the area, get in touch via the Facebook page. Double Crochets is a craft blog run by two Greek sisters from Athens, Panagiota (a teacher) and Marietta (a photographer), a place they love to post zillions of things related to craft. They love to crochet in strange places around Athens and belong to a club of like-minded crochet enthusiasts. Their goal is to spread the word, or, as they prefer to say, “SPREAD THE THREAD…”

The lovely lady behind Food Escapades, Rianne, admits she’s always been fond of eating. Upon discovering Tumblr and started a personal/Harry Potter blog, though she couldn’t resist searching food blogs and reblogging the tasty delights she stumbled upon.  Some followers complained about the concentration of food-related posts on their dashboards from Rianne, so she decided to create a new blog, entirely devoted to food, Food Escapades. She claims she is a frustrated chef with a sweet tooth and unable to resist endlessly searching for beautiful photos of food, both familiar and unfamilar. Though this blog is primarily a photo blog, she occasionaly likes to post about international cuisines and how they have developed throughout history.

Rianne also decided to start a related recipe blog, at the request of some followers, named Food Escapades: The Recipes.

So do have a look and let your mouth water. Or perhaps even saunter along to her recipes blog and feel inspired to try them out :)

MaeWolf’s blog is both a personal and craft blog inspired by what she likes and has found some of these quite easy to recreate with her hands. She began crafting items relating to the Fallout video games and made props and replicas of cardboard. Now she’s knitting, making Jayne Cobb (from Firefly/Serenity) “cunning” hats on looms and selling them at her Etsy shop for very reasonable prices as well as knitting handbags and making hand carved buttons from locally sourced wood. Who couldn’t love MaeWolf’s film/TV/game-inspired crafts?

As she currently finds herself with quite of lot of free time, she’d like to venture into the world of leather work sometime in the foreseeable future.
