Welcome. I love to make stuff: Papercraft, crochet, plushies, cooking and baking.

I'll be posting my own stuff where I can and promoting other fabulous artisan crafts by fantastically talented craftspeople in between :)

Pretty Little City Cross Stitch Patterns | Satsuma Street

I was so excited when I came across Satsuma Street. Her cross stitch patterns are so amazing, and I check back regularly to see if she has new patterns! I am currently working on these Pretty Little City patterns - the Paris one right now, then London and then the Russian one - they are going to look amazing framed as a set!

BBC Horizon - The Truth About Taste

frenchielips:

Taste is our most indulgent sense but it is only in recent years that we have started to understand why we really love the foods we do - and it is a lot more surprising than you might think.

There may a way to make food taste sweeter without adding any extra sugar and it is all down to a trick that happens in your brain. Horizon meets the scientist who has grown the perfect tomato, that is sweeter and juicier than anything you are likely to find on a shelf, as well as the men and women hoping to become elite, professional tasters.

Narrator - Andrew Scott.

(note: i’m updating the Masterpost as well :) )

Yes, I watched this today. I encourage everyone to watch.

I would expect that I might be a “super taster” because even food smells can sometimes reduce my appetite.

Not many people can say they know someone who’s been up close to dolphins in the wild or even written a book. My father-in-law is a lucky so-and-so who owned a boat and was able to study the yearly migratory patterns of these stunning creatures in the Bay of Gibraltar. After a study spanning 6 years came to an end my father-in-law compiled all of his photographs and data into his book ‘One Man and His Boat’ available at Amazon.
